In the Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre Multi-Arts Performance Workshop, the company expands its network of artist collaborators and harvests creative ideas for new performance works. The Workshop is a safe environment for artists to take risks and hone their skills. Through presentations and exercises, Workshop Artists contribute movement ideas to the community, and the community, in turn, activates the creative process of individuals by supplying rigorous critique and analysis. The Company Workshop meets in 10-week sessions, each session having a specific focus, at the discretion of the Artistic Director. Workshop Artists hailing from a variety of artistic disciplines may apply to participate in a particular 10-week session. The 10-week session culminates with an Open Workshop in which audiences are invited into the process of developing performance work.
